Too many people are bypassing bst with Signatures. I especially hate to see people selling coaching programs in the sig when you know they never made any real money online. Also the people who are putting sigs in their post by just spacing down and adding it to each post ought to get banned

I agree, there should be some review of sigs, or some limitations, some stuff is cool, but if there is a product which has not be reviewed then that sucks. I think reviewed products should be the only product allowed in sigs.

Gonna be hard to moderate but yeah... suppose my current sig violates that even though ive had services approved before, just don't want to be bombarded with requests it's just like a little extra income thing really.

I'm not really even talking about one's like yours lewi mostly the coaching ones bother me

I understand your worry. But I used to offer coaching in my, sig and I def got the people that I taught earning some money. I stopped offering it though and am about to do my last coaching deal. It works out well for all as long as u know what your doing. I got some people earning money, and I made $200 for an hour and a half of work and then answering questions for people every now and then.

A lot of my income is based on things that I have to set up every couple days or once a week. So I often have some free hours in the day, and if I can make $100+ an hour and then help some people out, is it really so bad?

With that said, I do think that the sigs have been getting a little out of hand recently.

Good idea, but harmful for those who actually use them for good.
I will have a little think about this suggestion and come back with something usuable and something that will work :)

well lets take my sig for example, I only need to get rid of this 1 account but should I have to pay $30 just to sell 1 item? I think All coaching and services should go in B/S/T but something like a single account sale or anything that is a one-time thing should be allowed

Its funny that u think your sig is ok, even though it is breaking the rules, and that coaching should be in the BST section. Not saying either should be in or out of the bst section, but why should one of them be in and not the other? Both are equally unregulated and equally open to people taking other money unfairly.

Why wouldnt everyone just say that they only had one account for sale, and then sell multiple ones?

Yes, you should.

I agree selling stuff in your sig, if you do not have a BST/FS thread, is side stepping the rules.

Make a post, give it 24 hours, and start nuking people.

Hi all,
I will give this thread another point of view... A noob point of view...

Please think about this logically, if a method is quite good, would the person be selling it to the BST thread to a lot people? It would make not any sense, the method would be saturated fast. It makes sense to be selling the coaching to only a limited number of people like 5-10 people.

That being said, people selling coaching is bypassing the BST rule here. So, my suggestion is to have a coaching BST section with its own rule, with its own fee to be listed. The coaching also needs to be moderated, not necessarily by a mod but may be by some witnesses...This is to ensure that the coach will help the noob to earn that money, helping with some of the details... This is also to ensure that the noob would ACTUALLY do the work... The noob has to sign a DNS,etc. I know this from my personal experiences. Sometimes, I am too lazy to do the work (because of fear of being banned, perfectionist in nature, etc.) and sometimes, the coach is an impatient man (the coach makes a lot of money fulltime and he feels that part-time coaching is a waste of his time)

There is nothing wrong with coaching, a point of view that I would like to add is that a coaching serves as a shortcut for a noob to make that FIRST online income. The fact remains while BHW rocks, filled with money making methods and such, it is very hard for a newbie to follow a particular method. Maybe the problem lies with the noob himself, he is too lazy. Maybe the problem lies with the method being presented, there are pitfalls that are not being disclosed OR the pitfalls are being disclosed but the person who share the method does not want to disclose ways to overcome the pitfalls.

I know as a noob that it is hard to dig through the posts in the forum to find a gem. I also know that in order to make a level of income that is life-changing (this income is different for different people), you will need to invest time and money in terms of tools and methods. Therefore, a coach is filling his role to help a noob guiding the noob in the right direction (and being paid for their time).

Regards

I have never used a signature yet, but it would be a damn shame it disappears before I get a chance. ;)

I see nothing wrong with them. They serve their purpose.

i like to play with my sig......:yeah: but i see the point too.....so i want to get rid of them... but i still want to play with my sig!!!.....ho hum...

I was about to start selling my service as you can see in my sig but I remember its against the rules to sell via PM Some so I'm building a legit website first.

I think you need to have a legit website and sell a cheap review first. The only problem with that is it could end up like dp and every one is asking for a review.

The staff are overly lenient, hopefully they can end this abuse. I keep a little "o" in my signature in case I have something important to address.

The problem is that coaching is not allowed in BST, so therefore no 1 on 1 coaching program could ever be offered on BHW without breaking the rules. I was told by several mods/admins in January to offer my coaching services in my sig, but I did cringe when helloall was offering coaching. I mean really.

I'm ok if the sig is an aff link or something like that. My main issues are the coaching programs that are unregulated and people bypassing BST with them

Yes, people have been prematurely trying the same methods they were taught here on the same forum they learned it from. It's one hundred percent ineffective for the majority, but undiscerning newcomers can get confused. I'm sure with this thread published the issue has already been fixed one way or the other.

There is no coaching allowed in BST, and mods are the ones who told me to just put it in my sig because its allowed.

I just have a question, is it against the rules to lead them a website you just throw up then sell them you service/product?

The only way I can think of to moderate the signature issue is to have all signatures approved before being allowed, but that could take up a lot of time for moderators.
