I would just laugh at you. I use Redirect Cleaner. While the author has retracted the add on, there are a large number of places to get the add on for Chrome or FireFox. This means that unless you redirect through htaccess, I will get to the content anyhow.

The reason that I use Redirect Cleaner is that a few months ago BHW was the victim of a hack that redirected to ad sites. The hack was actually an Iframe download that silently installed on a computer. Became real tired of redirects to unrelated content and installed the add on while I chased the problem down. I have never removed it, and have no intention of doing so.

Redirects, unless to useful related content just alienates your users and provokes stronger defensive measures. If you want me to click on some ad, then give me a compelling reason to like an unbiased review of the product that lists the good and the bad, and maybe compares it to another similar product with a link to the site you would like to to view. Then, maybe, you will have garnered enough of my attention to follow the link, and maybe purchase the product.

It is a simple matter that the user controls their browser and their interests. Therefore, you must entice the reader and not force them.
