......how come a site #1 from 25000 results for his exact keyword with 1 83 0000 searches a month in US can be visited TEN times only in a month??? hum????????
If a kind person could help....thought I found the gold mine...but steel digging!!

have you se tup prefered location in gwt? where you get backlinks from- us or other countries?
 
First of all, clear your cookies and delete your cache.

Once youve done that step, do the following, repeat the keyword research, this time click on exact and click on us.

There is no chance to get so few views if the google keyword tool is saying a kw has xxxx searches

Also, to truly verify if the site is on top, go to google.com with a US ip and do the search...

I highly doubt it is ranked on 1, and if it is, I highly doubt it has that volume of EXACT searches.
 
I have heard story's about people working for months to get to the top position for a keyword and then they get there and the keyword is junk.
 
25k exact searches is based on the last twelve months, if it was simply a trend, nobody could be searching for it anymore even though the keyword tool shows that amount of searches.. Although at 25k I doubt it could be that simple..

So you're saying when you search in quotes there are only 25k results, but it gets 1,830,000 searches per month (1.8 million???)?

That alone tells me something is likely wrong with the way you're doing your research. Most likely, are looking at broad instead of exact in GKWT.
 
I'd guess you're looking at broad searches as well.25k results tells you that you've miracalously stumbled onto a gold mine or it's not worth a penny,I'll choose the later but hope I'm wrong.

I do not know what are you using to check your ranking.
Go to google.com and use an ip from the UNITED STATES.
I guarantee your site is not in #1 for that keyword with 1.8 million searches.
If you do not have an ip from the US, use any of those "search in google us" webpages.


Honestly dude, it is IMPOSSIBLE to be getting 10 views a month if you are ranked #1 for a keyword with 1.8 million searches. I DONT GIVE A SHIT WHATS THE KEYWORD. whether it is a shit keyword or a good one, if there are 1.8m searches, you should be receiving at least 1m searches a month.

Either the page checker you are using is showing incorrect information, maybe not updated, maybe your page went to #1 for 2 seconds 1 day, fuck knows, maybe whatever, but something is sure, that cannot be right...

Google always exaggerate the amount of searches there are per month, it's in their best interests to lie as there is more money for them to be made out of it with higher bidding for Adwords and advertisers who will pay more.
 
Hmm it's hard to give a full report unless we had more information. I can say there is something not right. Like the above poster said, there has to be a hole somewhere.

It's a good point, which is why it's a good idea to check the Bing keyword tool as well, as it uses just organic searches from the last month, so you can get an idea of relevancy. Much small data set though of course.
 
Finally, I found!!! It was a Slimstat issue, I still don't understand why but visits counts are OK now.
