based on experience, profile links worked better than any blog commenting. and yes, it will carry out the link juice from main sites.
The reason why auto approved blog commenting is not giving more value was because they already being spammed to death. the link juice were spread to all spam links .
aniway, it still best to test it out yourself
Are you sure? I've heard that profile links are treated as the same as a no follow link (ie. google ignores them). I remember someone asking matt cuts about it awhile ago. When I did profile links, seems like I got no results. Doing link exchanges and buying links worked 10,000x better.

I don't understand where you sign up on some of these, like on sici site for example or the guiness records site??

Guys ffs please understand that your screen name on these sites links to your profile not your website so there's no need to make them keyword rich. "Ugg boots for tall women" as a screen name is idiotic at best. Try something like Sarah Peters. And if your going through all the effort of creating these profiles manually try uploading a pic of a real person as an avatar - a nice pic of a woman's face works well.
