To All: Made up this postcard after listening to a Offline MP3 recording. Use it in your Photoshop or other graphic programs ... largest USPS I think is 6" Height x 9" Wide. Of course copy an online review for their business Try it and see what kind of response you get. JQ
Lol I'm sure this would work but it will be a numbers game. Your best bet would be to split test and see which ones perform the best.
I think the "sucks" might turn people off or affend them, or bring it to their attention but they might go through someone else. Although I think its a very good idea besides that, and some may see the humor in it. maybe "your online reputation is in trouble" would convert better
Why not instead go into the businesses and bring the reviews yourself. You won't have to mail out anything and you will be able to rebuttal any of the owners objections.
I appreciate your time and effort in creating the postcard. I think the headline should be more attention grabbing, like: "Are You Losing Money Because of Bad Reviews?" "Are You Losing Customers Because of Bad Reviews?" " Are You Losing Profits Because of Bad Reviews?" Good call to action though. "Call me NOW at 800-555-1212 to stop losing money" "Call me at NOW 800-555-1212 to Plug Your Profit Leaks "
Thanks all .. great comments and better suggestions ... I know this is just one tool to try as a "shocker". Of course you will get some dirty looks and other may say hey "right to the point" ... all about testing for your audience ... think in my little community is far different than the rough and tumble of NY or LA. I say and have used all of above. Enjoy the holiday and start your new year now ...no reason to put off til Jan 1 No all the naysayers that don't know what we do....f'em JQ
I think you mean "made this postcard pretty much in the image of the thread that 7878 has been posting hear about rep management" - credit where credit is due
Oh please ... what have you seen or heard that is "new" ... how petty Getting people to think outside the norm was the point didn't know I was in competition with others here for views. JQ
I like the idea..... I think I will try and incorporate it into a direct mail campaign I am considering. If I get any good results (or bad results for that matter) I will report it back.
Yeah, with a headline like that, your postcard would quickly find its way into the trash for most people. Then there would be a select few that would call to tell you to kiss off. Overall, good start to an idea that could turn into a goldmine, but starting off by insulting your prospect won't land you long-term business.
Great combo of online/offline! If you manage to get only a few decent customers it will still be worth the effort. I do have a few suggestions: Add the name or logo of their own site instead of the "your rep sucks!". It will grab their attention long enough for them to read the card and prove that the review is from their own site (most of the descision makers never read the reviews or there would be no bad reviews for you to find). Do put in the words "reputation manager" near the end, otherwise they could think you were blackmailing them instead of offering a service
