I am wondering if there are any credit card payment gateways where someone can pay you money in bitcoin, but they pay you using a normal credit card with a normal credit card transaction?

So basically the person say pays you $10 from their credit card and the payment gateway then pays you the $10 received in bitcoin to your bitcoin wallet.

Does such a thing exist?

Thanks.

I’m not sure if that is technologically possible , but I only really have surface level knowledge on the subject

Thank you for your reply. I am trying to find out if there is a way that people can make a normal credit payment to a vendor through a credit card gateway, but then the vendor gets paid in bitcoin by the credit card gateway so that the vendor can remain anonymous.

I don't think such technology exist for now. If someone is paying using BTC you will get paid in BTC with withdrawal of same gateway.

The problem is BTC transactions are irreversible, while credit card transactions can be charged back. So it's important for the Bitcoin seller to be protected from unjustified reversals of credit card payments. There are probably individual exchangers or escrow services who both sides of the transaction trust, who are able to protect the BTC seller from credit card reversals by the buyer using a credit card. The exchanger takes the credit card payment, then upon obtaining the Bitcoin payment from the seller, transfers the BTC to the buyer.

If the seller doesn't provide the Bitcoin, the buyer gets their payment back. If the buyer turns out to be a scammer who charges back later anyway, the seller is protected while the exchanger/escrow service goes after the buyer in some fashion. Look around for escrow parties who will protect both sides from fraud in this manner.

Solid Trust Pay worked for me.
I guess they are suitable for only Canadian users. Won't work if you are from other country, in my experience. So I don't use it anymore due to their stringent policies. You may wanna go stealth with it tho. I guess.

Just checked their website and it seems they’ve shut down

there is an open source api solution for that but
1. it does not accept us/canada and some other countries cards
2. 3ds is always required
3. settlement is in euro stablecoin (which you can trade into bitcoin without a problem)
4. above 1k buyer has to be KYCed
