I've tried nmcli down/up, but it doesn't get a new IP.

If i do qmicli --dms-set-operating-mode=reset, it works, but takes two minutes to fully reset before its back up with a new ip.

Is there something faster??

Switch mode to 3g and then to auto.

Man i should have asked this a few days back, i couldn't find this information anywhere!! This worked! Thank you. Just curious, do you know of any guides/resources that go into details for modem control, but within context of proxies?

It sounds like you need a quicker way to force a new IP without a full reset delay. Have you tried manually disconnecting and reconnecting the modem using AT commands or a different network manager method? Sometimes, switching the APN or briefly enabling/disabling airplane mode can speed up the process.

Ugh, that sounds frustrating! Have you tried just disabling and re-enabling the specific interface instead of a full reset?

not sure you fixed the you fix the issue yet ,Sometimes you need a new IP when your current is stuck, firmware power cycle should fix the issue
