To make a Facebook page grow you must get your fans to engage and interact with what you are doing. I have a strategy to accomplish this task that I wanted to share with you all...

For every new person who became a fan of my page, I sent a personal message too. I would welcome them to the page, tell them what we were all about, encourage them to comment, share and ask questions. In addition to that I would give out all of my contact information. I did this for every single new fan. As my current fan base started engaging, their friends started joining the page, and I began to see consistent growth.

Here are some tips that can help you implement this:

1. Send a personal message to every new fan
2.Tell them why your page exists
3. Explain to them how your pages content is going to help them
4. Encourage them to comment, share, and ask questions
5. Share your contact information with them and make yourself accessible.

This shit works...say thanks.

Wow!! I didn't knew it!! and I guess no one here on BHW does!!
Your title says "Get more likes"...don't you think this action would be taken once someone has already liked your page??

Just the summary...keep your fan page active and maintain communication to attract the visitors to join!

This can work, but not that good though. When people post on a wall a little message on the news feed shows up that they commented on the wall I think. But it would not be the effort for the average BHW member, since we go for millions of likes, not 20 a day.
 
Here you should apply for the Forbidden Apple rule. When your first person comes to your page and Likes it, you send him/her a message talking about his/her momma and kick him/her out!! Proceed like that with your next 100 visitors..and then next 1000...because all people will see that is very hard to be accepted into the 0 Like Page, so theoretically, over few months, you will wake up with 2-3 million likes as they will make a secret convention and attack your page suddenly overnight and like it, so then probably you will spend all your life sending each person a message about his/her momma and kick him.. but you probably didn't got the idea of my story behind it's joke, OP

I think its not so easy & the process will slow but the idea is good enough .

The idea is pretty goood! Its like all the people who will like the page after seeing the message would be fans for a long time.

But yeah, it would take ages to get thousands of fans, the method would be slow...
 
i have been using this method for my page it works very well. also to grow your friends database. send them a

PS: add me as a friend to stay in touch

i was getting heaps of adds a day! grew my friends list in no time.

and it helps grow the fan page because the user engages in it evan more!

yup, Its a good strategy to make them your friends as well !

But, working out this way may take a looooong time to get you a lot of fans
 
The iLikeViral plugin from iLikeViral.com also works for getting more likes. It gently requests users to click on Facebook like or other social buttons. It can be set to appear some time after user arrives on site. One site I know with not many visits, about 100 per day got 200 likes in just 4 days, meaning that 25% of visitors actually clicked the like, but before this only 3-5 visitors clicked on like per week.
 
i like the combination of blackhat for initiating few k of fans and then continuing with your strategy...

That's the idea. I only started doing this after I got over 13k likes.
