I actually use a spreadsheet myself to record my SEO efforts for all my websites at once. It provides me with "the big picture", and if I want more details I can refer to a site's linkwheel sheet.

All the numbers are in my original post (did you even bother to read?).

I only target 1 keyword per site (or per page, depending on the type of site). But I use around 5-10 different anchor text for the links.

I don't actually check if the Xrumer posts stuck after a month or more, but when I check where my traffic comes from, sometimes I see traffic coming from VERY OLD forum posts. So I guess AT LEAST a few of them stick.

I don't believe in manual review. Especially not for small sites. I have NEVER had a site de-indexed (I have more than 100 sites). The worst I ever got was a penalty. And as I said 99% of the time, the penalty is temporary.

Some are EMD's, but most are not. I find EMD's get good rankings faster, but it is not a requisite for 1st page, or #1, ranking with my linkwheel.

Most of my sites are doorways with exactly 3 pages: the actual doorway, a contact us page, and a privacy policy.

The largest site I have is a review site with around 25 pages.

Nice share buddy,

I am able to sit on page 1 #7 for a keyword with just hand counting number of links. Now this method can surely raise its ranking to top 3 at least. the top position is highly dominated by one webste which is there for years with thousands of links. Not to worry as i can be in at least top three.

Any tools that automate a LinkWheel are eventually going to get your hurt. Google is smart and I would avoid using them. I have been in the SEO business for a long time and one rule of thumb if its to good to be true Google will get you. Your content needs to be written by hand and not spun, etc, etc. LinkWheels work great and its better to do it by hand or a service that does so to avoid getting hurt in the future. If you are just concerned about the short run then automation is ok but that is not most people

I must just have really bad luck...... always have.

I have had like 13 domains de-indexed. Many of them were tiny little EMD sites, some were aged domains. None of them had many pages; some only had 1.

Get this: I built an EMD site about 2 months ago, after like 13 of my sites de-indexed, and it TOO became de-indexed within like 5 days. WTF!

And at the time I built 10 other EMD sites, and none of those got de-indexed. Very strange to say the least.

And when I say de-indexed, I mean full blown DE-INEXED. Not in the sandbox for 6 months, nothing stupid like that. Just dead and DONE. IE: when you do site:domain.com, no results show up. Same with info:domain.com

I am astounded that you have over 100 sites and none have gotten the axe. That is downright amazing. I have about 40-50 money sites now, but like I said, 13 of them got wrecked. It didn't even make sense. Like I said, many of those 13 sites were EMD, and very small, low volume sites (we are talking like 30 exact searches per month in some cases).

Maybe it was because I used the same template for all my sites? I dunno. But they definitely didn't find nearly all of my sites if that was the case. In fact, I tried for a LONG time to find ANY sort of pattern as to why they banned me, and to this day, I have still found no pattern at all.

Anyways, do you use the same template on most of your sites? I just hate having to deal with finding/testing a new template for every damn site. Kinda defeats the purpose of the rinse & repeat approach.

Hi LinkWheels are part of a whole SEO strategy. Here is the basics

1. Good quality content for your website that is constantly updated
2. Your site should have a blog that is constantly updated
3. Do SMO (Facebook, Twitter, etc)
4. Dont over SEO your content( if it looks to perfect that is not what Google will think is good content) Make your content size random and keyword density should be random as well. Don't be obvious.
5. Your meta title is important and make it have your keyword and a call to action
6. Get backlinks. Of course I will push my Linkwheel service but in addition to that you need to get links from websites in your vertical market.
7. Keep building your site like one of the users said above. Google likes sites when the owner is always updating no matter what Google does to them (good or bad)

All SEO must be done by hand and not automated. That means content, links, logging in , etc, etc etc

I hope this helps. We have many sites that get bid traffic(over 60,000 a day on some of our sites) and they rank with the simple formula above.

I have to disagree with that. Please explain to me how Google can make the difference between a link created by a tool and a link created by hand?

I think most of the time, people over-estimate Google's artificial intelligence. If Google was that intelligent, this forum wouldn't exist, neither would the tools we all use, nobody would buy apps like Scrapebox or Xrumer, and the search engine results would be 90% different from what we see today.

I start with the same template for all my doorways (the 3-page sites I talked about earlier). It's a very simple template, with all the basic on-page SEO covered. Once the site is ranking and getting traffic, I start improving the template to increase conversion ratio. But that's another topic.

As for the larger sites, it depends, I have several e-commerce sites that run on osCommerce (which I modified for better SEO), I have also a few Wordpress and Joomla sites.

I'm currently doing a few tests to see if there is a platform that Google prefers. And my early conclusion is that Joomla gets a preferrential treatment in the SERPs. But this is only an early conclusion. I still have to do more experiments...

I'm very curious: Does this method still work well for you, even after the crazy google changes that have happened?

Just this week I had 2 more site bump to #3 (from #14), and #6 (from #12) respectively. And I haven't even completed their linkwheels yet!

I had a question about how I track all my websites' seo effort in a single excel spreadsheet. I'll copy-paste my answer here for anyone interested:

Here's how I setup my spreadsheet:

Each row represents a money site. Each column represent a week, except for the first 3 columns where I have:
- the date i created the site
- the url
- the main keyword

Then, each week I keep track of my rankings in Google (I use Rank Checker plugin for FireFox). And I track the number of backlinks to my website (according to Yahoo Site Explorer).

Plus, I use color codes to track my SEO efforts. For example, if one week I did an XRumer blast to a site, I will shade the cell for that week in red. Green for Scrapebox, blue for AMR, etc...

So a single cell has 3 things:
- a color shading representing the SEO blast
- a number in bold representing SERP
- and a number in parenthesis representing the number of backlinks

"Sometimes, a site will get a temporary penalty, but most of the time it won?t. And when it does, the site comes back, really strong, a few weeks later."

NO, you are lost! Try it and you will see the results. My not BH promoted websites are higher in G than the BH SEO websites. I also have 2 websites with NO BH linkbuilding (not even WH) and i'm on place #2 and #1 for a couple keywords. Those 2 websites are my moneymakers, without those 2 i can stop all my business. So don't say someone is lost if he is not using BH! Use your mind and watch your money, if there is no money coming in you are on the wrong way
