You'll have a better ROI with follow/unfollow services or even more with mother/child. Ads are incredibly to drive direct conversions not so to build a following.

you can get followers via Instagram ads, but it is usually expensive if you aim for real engagement. Best way is to run content-focused ads targeting a very specific audience and push posts that naturally get likes/comments. Growth is possible, but organic engagement usually comes slower and sticks better.

I would rather combine ads
With gradual followership which are highly targeted
And maybe throw in a mother chile method in the mix
I prefer the first phase

You can provide high quality content with facebook ads then you can say in comment or caption to follow your IG

Yes this idea is pretty cool, I'll try it your way and see how it goes. I usually just focus on the early stages to be sure, testing creatives and building stable signals before scaling further

Yes , IG ads can grow a new account, but only if the content is strong. The best approach is promoting Reels (not the profile), using engagement/video-view objectives, targeting lookalike audiences, and retargeting people who watched your videos. Ads push reach, but the content + hook is what converts viewers into followers.

Do not run ads asking for follows. Run ads boosting good content to the exact audience. If the content hits, real followers come by themselves.

In terms of getting followers, you may want to post reels and have hashtags that involve the type of content your posting. That could be better in your situation.
