get hashtag trending on twitter

If you want a hashtag to trend for a specific region, the accounts location obviously needs to be set to that region. Can you achieve top 10 trending status for a hashtag with only retweets or would individual unique tweets be required from mass accounts? Anyone with experience regards to twitter trending please assist

Several factors affect the trending applicability of a hashtag. Theoretically only retweets should be possible but as far as I'm aware, it doesn't happen. Best to do is a mix of both tweets and retweets with the hashtag. Of course 4G rotating IPs are also excellent for these sorts of things to prevent shadowbans and the like.
