for what are the proxis? are they necessary i did a testrun without and it worked perfect.

Proxies are needed in case you are scraping a big number of keywords. The article directories will temp ban you for a short amount of time when making too many connections from the same ip.
 
EzineArticlesLinkScanner is showing up in all of the sites that I used content from this on. Great share, but I think some rewriting is def in order. I see the bot visits, but have yet to have any repercussions from it yet, BUT THEY ARE WATCHING...

I'm not familiar with that bot and what it's purpose. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will shed some light. If I'm posting the articles to my blogs (own blogs) I spin them, but if I'm posting to web2.0 blogs I don't spin them and almost all of the web2.0 blogs are still alive and passing good link juice.

You could've marketed it if you wanted, but i think its cool that you didnt :)
