Get Free Stuff Using Your Blog (Easy Method)

I've been following and learning from BHW for years now, so figured I would finally give back.

If you run your own legitimate looking blog, then you can easily get free - and often expensive - items with very little work. Let me explain...

1. Write an article about a product or service that interests you, and link to the official purchase page.
2. Send HitLeap traffic to the purchase page, and set the referrer as YOUR blog post.
3. Wait a few days and then contact the company saying something like...

Hello {company},

I recently wrote a {review|post|whatever} about your {product|service}, and my readers loved it. I've noticed quite a bit of outbound traffic to your site, and was wondering if you would be interested in working together on a review?

4. They'll send you said product, and you write a review on your website.

I've gotten all sorts of things using this method, from high end televisions to $1000 vacuums. You just need to use your imagination.

It's worth noting that companies will often contact you without any prompting, saving you the email. Just be aware that this works best of legitimate looking websites with well written content.

Hint: You can always sell the products after you're done reviewing them.

I've never done video reviews, but that's a good idea. I always just take a few photos and write the review.
 
I am also a review writer and have write many reviews for many products. Your suggested method is very good and I can make good money with it.
 
Sorry to say but I don't think it's very right. Even from blackhat prospective it seems pure fooling. And anyway, can't they see you are not getting them any sales? If someone gets more suspicious about it, they may send some legal trouble your way.
 
agree with PassionateWriting, to the company the products are nothing so thats not really the point.
the trouble they can bring you if one of them tries to flex there muscles is what you need to be careful about, haven't seen this method before tho.
 
This is nothing new. That's how almost all the big sites work. Take for example GSMArena.com. They ask the companies to make a review for their devices, and why they do that? So that they can increase their sales.
For this method to work, you need to have a pure whitehat and excellent blog/site with many traffic. Plus, most of the times the company will require the product to be sent back after the review, until they see if they can convert from your traffic.

Never sell the product until you're sure that the company won't need it back.
 
To answer people's questions...

1. Yes, if they're smart, they'll notice that they're not getting any sales from the inbound traffic - but not everyone is that smart. In fact, I've found it rare that people check.
2. I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on the internet, but legal trouble for what? There's no agreement that sending x product translates into x sales for said company.
3. You're right, bloggers receiving free products is nothing new. You're also right that you need a decent looking site, no argument there. However, in all my years I've only ever been asked once to send a product back. You work that out at the beginning, there's no "oh, by the way... we want this back..." at the end.

Just my 2 cents.
 
So you say they give those high end devices valued $$$$ for free because of your fake traffic? May we know who are those retards?

I agree there is no agreement for getting them sales. But then, if they ever find out that they are being scammed by being sent fake traffic for real products, then well, IMO, it wouldn't require an agreement to sue you. For they can simply make a point that they fooled them by sending fake traffic just for getting the product. And, some may get away with not having to send the product back, but a lot may not. And, if someone at all sells a product and then gets a mail saying the company wants it back, he will be in some sort of trouble for sure.

Even my 2 cents lol :D

I'm sure there's plenty of them. I first realised how dumb people could be when I promoted a shitty app that costed more than $6 for one result called "Find out when you will die". People actually paid to find out when they will die, according to a obviously crappy app. SO yeah, there are plenty of stupid people out there.

Good method.
So basically is an exchange of reviews, or am I mistaking?
 
Interesting way of getting free stuff. I used to run a gaming blog and would ask for review copies and get free games. Always nice to get free stuff eh? :)
