You are right, just checked them now and each extension is $2.5k. That is crazy, considering most people are already familiar with .com/.net/.org domains and I don't see any established and popular websites switching to those domains anytime soon. But then again, $2.5k for an automobile company is like buying gums, hence the ridiculous high price...

If you configured the name servers right, you need to wait for the DNS propogation, which can take a few hours or even a day. Also clear browser cache/use different browser and flush DNS.
