[GET] Facebook Reveal Code! DOUBLE YOUR LIKES!

I just spent over 2 hours figuring out why it weren't working for me despite everyone here saying it works absolutely fine. Well finally i figured it out - it doesn't appear to be working correctly if you're viewing it from an admin. When logged in as a non-admin the reveal code seems to be working fine. So for anyone who might have had the same problem as me. There's your answer.

Sorry guys if you all knew - I'm just a complete newb ^^

Someone asked about how to find the "EDIT" button - I also coul not find it and just got this clue off a FB official help forum:

First to be able to edit or add code into your FBML (assuming you have it on ur FB Page, if not add it first and):

Not very user friendly but this is how it works (assuming you have successfully added the FBML application to your page):


  • From the left menu on your page click "Edit Page"
  • On the next page click "Applications"
  • Find the FBML application then click "Edit Settings"
  • Click "Tab: Available (Add)" and then "Okay" to close the popup box
  • Back on the page that lists your applications click the "Go to application link" underneath the FBML application.
Voila! You should now be able to edit the Tab name and post your code!
 
Is it possible to have this code, after someone "Likes" you page launch a Flash Fan app? I can be more descriptive if needed. It is an app that was put out here by Flizzow a couple of days ago. I would like the fans to have to like the page before getting all of our info. Hope this makes sense, thanks in advance for everyone's help and input!!! This Place ROCKS!

That is possible. You will need to put the link to the .swf file in the <fb:visable> tags.
 
Is this hard to do, anyone care to share the code? You have to "like" the page before seeing the download link.

Hee okay, thank you, first of all FacebookDude for the great thread! But....if someone is going to through a request in, I scoured for an answer that my brain could "noodle", can I also add just the latest status, either to the side or something? Thanks everybody for the great input!

Some people do really have a very narrow minded mentality yaa..

Ok, yes it is an old school method of Non-Fans tactic but the most important part is that facebookdude take the initiative to share it with people and he deserve a well +rep for that because he contribute something.

If you guys think that this is a useless things shared by OP than share with us something that is not useless then? :)

Anyway OP, nice contribution to the community.

Well you can use the same code shared by facebookdude.
just change the Fans content to the one that i shared earlier :)

Image doesnt change. It shows the same "click the like button above" even after i liked the page! :( am i being exceptional?

If you are viewing your own page as an Admin, then the picture wont change. my advice is to open from different browser for a different account to test it.

Please forgive my lack of coding skills, I'm more of designer then a coder. With FaceBookDude's original code, exactly where should I paste the code?

Again apologies for my lack of coding knowledge, I am learning though, and will share my images when done. :)
 
Just be sure to upload the images to your own server.

Otherwise whoever hosts them might notice the popularity and replace this nice blue image with a red-hot-chilly-pepper banner. :-)
