The answers to your questions are in this thread, if you read this thread from start to finish you will find the answers to your questions. Why waste the script makers time with questions that are already answered in this thread.

Ability to read last several posts (at least) is what you need, and member before you could do the same.
You would be surprised how ability to read and search can improve your life and save time of other people.
 
I read most of this thread and the latest version I found was on page 4, post 159. It was very interesting to learn how doing it your own way doesn't change the common goal everyone shares. I didn't see anything about using the robots.txt file to keep files/directories from being indexed, maybe because it doesn't apply in this case?

I'm going to put your script to work and see what I come up with. THANKS for your continued updates for the past 2 years. BTW- I have never seen so many people Banned in ONE thread. This forum is like stage where everyone performs to an audience of moderators. Bravo! Contributors Rock!!!
 
@ olafsg this doesn't have nothing with ranking, seo, google updates.

@ theKpages yes, somewhere on page 4 is last version. there is no need to update nothing in code, this is simply redirector to specific rules, easy to set your own ip ranges, user agents, host names. Everyone has their specific goals so I am even not trying to set universal list of bad bots or this or that, look in logs and see what to block and thats it.
There is small .htaccess file to protect listing of files and reading text files. Also empty index.php can do a trick, or script file rename to index.php .
Robots.txt is absolutely depreciated "protection", just a text file with directives for "good" bots what not to index. They can listen, or not. I have seen scripts that are specifically looking files and scanning folders that are "blocked" in robots.txt
 
ok i went through all the pages now but i still dont get it will the new script change the REFERRERS if do i need to change something on array like true/false????

although facebook fetchs my site A as the site B which is good but am still little confuse if this script will change the referres?

no it will not change referrers. just redirect script.
