Hi , i started a project to build a tour website, but to be honest, I'm struggling. The website itself isn't great yet I know it still needs a lot of work. cThe only thing that seems to be going well is the Facebook group I created; it's active and growing slowly, but I still haven’t gotten any real clients yet.

I also made a Facebook page, but no luck there either.

Right now, I don’t know how to move forward. I’m feeling stuck and unsure about what steps to take next. What I really need is a clear roadmap to help me:

any way to get clines
Improve or rebuild the website
Attract real clients (not just likes or followers)
Use my Facebook group better for marketing and engagement
Understand what tools or platforms can help

If anyone here has experience in travel/tourism, digital marketing, or has gone through something similar, I’d really appreciate your advice or any resources you can share. thank you so much

There are two distinct matters:
  1. The website itself
  2. Marketing
1. The Website:
  • It needs to be modern, visually appealing, and very easy to access. It must be mobile-friendly.
  • For SEO, it has to meet Google’s standards.
Once you’ve met these requirements, you can then try to populate the blog section with unique and interesting content: the history of the city, points of interest (restaurants, clubs, museums, parks, and other tourist attractions). You can talk to restaurant owners for discount codes.

2. Marketing
  • Facebook: A Facebook page, updated as frequently as possible + a Facebook group.
  • TikTok: Short videos about your city.
  • Reddit: Usually, especially in big cities, tourists/potential clients go to city-specific subreddits for recommendations, etc. Answer such questions as often as you can and be as helpful as possible. As soon as you’ve gained a bit of reputation, edit your profile and add your website in the “About” section.
Cheers!
