Get a free PR 9 Link In 2 minutes!

Great share, any link will count towards SEO there are of alot arguments but only certain will (google) will know what counts ;)

The adobe forums actually had PR 5 and 6 pages on which links could be dropped - but sadly they have gone nofollow just this month.

All profile links start as pr n/a and they almost always stay that way unless they are boosted by links from comments you have left on other higher PR pages on the domain. This severely handicaps their serp boosting power.

Profile links have value in terms of IP diversity, and there may also be an authority effect which confers a small bonus. This, however, is completely unverified.

if you're looking for a profile link, then this Adobe profile is a good share.

Micallef you are exactly right.

Here are a 5 examples i found on a quick run through the adobe forums:

What surprises me I guess is why anyone would think that the primary domain would leak all it's juice to the profiles if they are in-active. I have specific profiles that I use and make sure that i manually login and post comments on threads @ least twice a month. The profiles now have pr but no where near the pr of the primary domain. I treat these few profiles almost like sites and I only use these profiles on my good stuff. For me it works well and i find it worth an extra 20 minutes out of a month.

You can get 6 total links from Adobe for each account that you create.. 1 in the forums profile and 5 in the adobe profile. The adobe profile is where you select what type of link it is (business or what-not) and type in your URL then simply click the add another link, up to 5.

And don't forget to PARTICIPATE in the forums. The more your profile is accessable from ACTIVE posts, the better juice you should get.
