It's profile link bro
won't help ranking but will enrich your backlink profile
 
Profile links don't help for ranking unless 1) they are d0-follow, 2) they do index, 3) they stay up, instead of being deleted days/weeks later, 4) they are contextual, ie have a paragrah of relevant info on the page, and 5) have some RD coming to that specific page.

For those who belong to the old school like me and can relate to this - isn't this the classic Angela Edwards style backlink? Which was later followed up by Paul Johnson and a lot and lot of others? Surely those links have been shown to be useless once SEO evolved?

Back in the day, I used to make a lot simply by subscribing to that $5 (or was it $7?) package of Angela, and then building the profile links she used to send in her packet. They used to work like charm for ranking sites.

But these days? Meh...
