So, I agree 1and1.com sucks as a registrar, but hey just stay on your toes with em' and get a domain for .99 cents

Can't we register a domain for those 99 cents then later on move it out to Namecheap like some do with Godaddy? Or are there any tricks played by them 1and1?

I used a similar deal from 1&1 like 4-5 years ago and I believe you agree to a 2 year contract, so they will bill you in a year and wont let you unlock to transfer it until then.
