If you are on my mailing list at my blog then you already got this month's 20+ .EDU links, I decided to share a portion of them here publicly for the rest of you.

After this you will be logged in so simply hit "Profile" in the top right and add your URL in the website field. This is also a really powerful link because this forum is unmoderated. This means you can make your own thread and post as many links as you want - use it as a sales page or landing page or just to dump a crap load of **************** backlinks!

Yup

And sorry for the way it turned out with after i used the code tags, looked a bit better in my mailing. Basically there is the link followed by instructions for how to properly place to to insure it sticks, so you may need to scroll a bit to read all of that.

My mailing list only inboxes at like 75% so check your spam folder every couple of days, sorry about that.

Its not proven but the fact of the matter is that .EDU and .GOV links are much harder to come by and are equal if nothing else. And beyond that universities and government sites are far more respectable and generally higher authority sites than the vast majority of .coms.

As an example which sites has more backlinks to it and more weight in the world:

Whitehouse.gov or Harvard.edu

or

MyDogPrincessPics.blogspot.com

The first link can be better used than is hinted to in the description. BBCode is allowed for use in your signature, and it's dew follow, so give it a go with your keyword.

This is true, however, from personal experience if you want the link to stick for longer than a few days you'll follow the exact instructions. Profile links stick forever really, sig and spamming links in forums get you banned after a couple of weeks in most .EDU and .GOV forums.

To each his own though, you will get away with it here and there

That's about it for freebies, I do discounts for tools (mine and other people's) and also put some write ups there a week or so before they're on my blog.

Basically just use it as a tool to share stuff to a more limited base than posting it for all the public on my blog.

You're welcome. I'm working on a lot of things lately so haven't put out any new lists but they really are easy to find if you use the right Google searches. Find footprints for things like small forum platforms and apply the site:.edu or site:.gov search along with the footprint and you'll find a lot of virgin .edu and .gov sites.
