[Get] $1 hosting halloween for first years

Thanks for the list. Is it necessary to use different account info for each site? In other words, do they all talk to each other? I'm thinking a great way to build supporting blogs but don't want them all tossed if one goes bad.

Yeah, can we use same info?

Sweet. Just bought $1 hosting from Fatcow, lets see how well it goes. If it doesn't go well, DP is the place to sell the shit for premium price.

From what I see and read they are an UNLIMITED Share BS hosting company, their servers are slow and have frequent down time

Use existing domain and only change the name-servers. (Or buy your domain separately, for example, from name**cheap if you don't have any existing non-important domain to move there). IMO, don't let them buy a new domain for you, or don't you do a Registrar Transfer so soon... just do a name-server change initially as mentioned above so that your domain re-transfer later on will not be unexpectedly more expensive or difficult in case you don't like the new hosting service...

You can always use the cheap hosting ($1 is cheap!) as your secondary hosting service to do some important testing, and if you don't like their overall hosting service then 1st remove your domain to your primary / another host by changing the name-servers back to your primary or a new host. No doubt you'll also take a full backup frequently and transfer the backups alongwith your domain name if need arises.:D

Recommended: keep your existing premier / quality hosting service when buying the $1 hosting service. You will of course have some more time to pay the next subscription to your 1st host, so use that time to test this $1 host thoroughly.

IMO, there is also no harm in continuing with your primary hosting service for one more year, and if this new service is good then decide whether to move on to it entirely whenever you think its ok to do so. Remember, this $1 new hosting service subscription will turn to around $70+ from the next year, but you'll have sufficient time to test it, esp their uptime, security, cust service, etc. Of course, with this promotion, expect them to cram hundreds / thousands of sites more on each server, so the overall server (and service) performance wouldn't be as good later on.

My 2 cents... :)

In my case, I always wanted to have a few sites on a US-based server (I have my primary sites in UK and am very happy with my existing UK-based hosting service and I don't intend to leave that very friendly and professional host at all.) So this $1 / first-year hosting opportunity came at the right time and without incurring too much amount for a secondary host.

awesome bro,...

let-us-win-you-back.bml?key=pumpkin same footprint... ahem... seems like all these sites belong to one company
Anyway, great share. $1 hosting + $1 .info domain can be a $2 per site network...

I heard this host was shit. Why try to save as much money as possible when it comes to hosting anyway? If you don't pay shit you get shit. Protip: get a server.

There are many reasons to stay away from IPAGE and others from the same network (FATCOW, etc.).

- response time is very slow
- database downtime every 4 days, took hours to fix
- customer support is very slow, response took more than a day
- no CPANEL!
- they have problems with cookies path, extra work for your programmer

If you paid with a credit card - don't forget to go /controlpanel/BillingCentral/account_renewal.bml and disable auto renew after one year.

WTF with your service? I register at two link provied above and got the same error
