    I am looking for some help importing a KML file into a geo sitemap.

    Does anyone have experience creating a geo-sitemap?

    Thanks

    Have a go with this tool provided by Google.

    http://kml-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/interactive/index.html#./Point_Placemarks/Point_Placemarks.Simple.kml

    By the way if you already have a KML file you then you need to create another seperate sitemap for it.

    So as well as your normal sitemap listing your pages, you'll have another one listing geographical locations.

    for your geositemap.xml all you need is this code:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9"
    xmlns:geo="http://www.google.com/geo/schemas/sitemap/1.0">
    <url>
    <loc>http://www.yoursite.com/yourkmlfile.kml</loc>
    <geo:geo>
    <geo:format>kml</geo:format>
    </geo:geo>
    </url>
    </urlset>
