Sorry if this triggers any feminists around here, Its not meant to hurt anyone's sentiments. Lets make this engaged.

What made women fall for men before the money era?

Money is just a newer way of status and security. Both have always been prevalent and important long before money existed

The man was the source of food and safety
we was hunting, so woman will always
Basically, anything that ensures survival... I’d add shelter to that

You missed a line. What made Gold Diggers fall for men before the money era?

personal possessions (land, livestock, rare condiments, spices, stones, carpentry, etc) and social status. Think of kings, emperors, sultans, etc. These never had money, but had so much power and so many possessions that every woman wanted to become their queen, empress, etc...

They'll go for a man with a bigger piece of meat.
This is the right answer.
Humans have always been hunters and gatherers before modern civilization set in. Food was their only concern. Men will hunt, women would beat the meat. No pun intended.

For me it was who is most powerful. Woman wants power more than anything. So marrying a powerful man could make her the powerful among all women so I think women used to find power the most attractive thing.
