Is there a tool or add on I can use to create hits/visits to my website? It would need to work on Mac.

You can use some traffic exchange sites like hitleap or websyndic. I have hl accounts with over 100k minutes if you want to buy

If you need traffic let me know. I can suggest you Real persons and quality traffic and cheap prices and I can also suggest you auto traffic like traffic exchange but kinda better than hitleap etc.

But as Henry said - It's better not to use fake generated traffic if you are gonna use it for ads
 
It depends if you want that fake traffic to click ;) if you won't be doing any clickjacking you should be safe
 
Are you trying to send fake impressions to your advertisements? It's not gonna work OP. Your publisher account will be banned if you do so.
 
Plus you will need a lot of proxies :) What you want to achieve as stated

fake traffic will ban your adfly account.
but it's pretty safe for adsense if you dont attempt to generate fake ad clicks
 
you can use ipts trafic spirite i used it for a while to test it.

but you will get banned if you use it for an ad network they have ways of detecting bots and they hate it (i dont blame them i hate seeing bot trafic on my website).
