I'm thinking about moving into selling sites (I've been reading on it for a couple of months). I'm thinking of making a new domain, putting about 10-20 articles on it, and get some targeted leads for advertising space on it, and then flipping it after a few months.

Generally speaking, how long would it take, or what type of things should I look for if I want to net 1500 for a site on flippa? I just wanted to get a 2nd opinion from the experts.

To sell a site for $1500 at flippa, you must be able to have a monthly revenue of about $150 for one whole year from that site.

I do not think you have to maintain $150 for a whole year to get $1500. Especially when new sites increase throughout their first year.

Many sites that are making $150 / month are sold for $1500 after only a couple of months. Price wise I think your analysis is pretty good, but I don't think the price point has to be maintained for that long.

I sold a site that was making 130 dollars a month for a few months for 2300.00 so it's basically what you'll get someone to buy it for.

Sites sell for tens and hundreds of thousands of thousands, and sometimes millions. It is all based on revenue, and sometimes traffic if the revenue isn't that good. If your site is making $150 a month, like already said, you can probably sell it for that much if you write a good sales letter.

Why would somebody spend soo much time and hard work and then throw it away like a condom.

If you have the ability just make 10 such sites and go to sleep for 5 years.

it all depends on the site quality and the traffic you got. Monthly revenue is important but sometime it depends on what ppl wanna do to after they buy your website.

it depends on the niche and if you find someone that really need that site, or someone that is just buying sites. You can get anywhere between 10 and 20 times the monthly revenue, just get it to make 100-200 per month for you, keep it a few months so other people see it's a steady income and not just one month's luck and go for it.
