General Thoughts on Risk vs Reward in Black Hat Methods

I’ve been reading different discussions in the BlackHat Lounge and wanted to get general opinions on balancing risk and reward.

How do experienced members usually decide when a method is worth testing versus when the risk is too high? Any mindset or general principles you follow before trying something new?

Just looking to learn from shared experiences no methods or promotions.
