General store for beginning/practice?

Hello BHW, this will be my first post! The concept of dropshipping has been familiar to me for quite some years but I finally decided to start learning a few weeks ago. Looked through a few courses, have been talking, researching and spending countless hours every day to broaden my knowledge on the subject.

Now I have reached the point where I think I need to start and practice. I am considering building a general store which will most likely end up with quite some loss but I'm willing to spend some money to improve. Perhaps I'll find a good product to build another store around? Is this a good approach or should I perhaps go for a (branded) one-product/niche store straight off the bat?

Also wondering if there are any general tips and/or courses people can recommend. Maybe some general subjects and/or marketing I can learn. I want to learn as much as I can within the next year so I can turn a profit at some point.

Best teacher is experience. I litterally started building my site 3 days after I found out about dropshipping. Jump in head first and learn along the way. General, one product or ninche store dont matter. Find your style and go with it. Dont expect to make profit your first store but keep pushing and it will pay off

You should pick something you have a personal interest in. You'll know more about what you like/don't and also how to produce ads that people like you would click on to generate traffic/sales.
