General SEO questions

I have some general SEO questions concerning hosting and domains.

1) Is there a difference between buying the domain name with the webhosting package OR buying hosting package + domain name separately and pointing the domain name to the server / VPS when it comes to SEO terms?

2) Lets say we are building 10 financial niche sites / portals (they are not going to be linked among themselves), every portal/website is unique but they are all exactly in the same financial niche. Does it make any difference to Google when all portals are hosted on the same server or should we got an extra solution per project that it seems for google that they are completely independent and not all managed by the same person? These are very large projects (each portal around 500-1000 unique articles, videos etc.).

2. depends on how closly related they are, if they are the health niche, then no problem, if its health> womans health > vaginal bacteria, then that would be a problem, plus not a good idea for the sites!! boom boom!

1- That is nothing related with google. You should always have the control of your own domain. Buy it from a registrar.

2- Google will not do anything because they are on the same server but at least have a seperate IP for each of them.
