So if I have a relatively new authority site, with seperate articles targeting low comp keywords, where do I focus my efforts?

Do I slam my homepage URL with PBN, guest post backlinks, etc Or do I focus SEO on my individual article URLs?

Appreciate the info.

Did you take care of all your onpage SEO?

Yeah on page is great. I'd love to purchase a big ass batch of PBN services or something to pump my authority site up a bit. I just really dont know what would be more effective in the long run. Do I hit the homepage URL and it's medium comp keywords or do I go with each article thats targeting all the super low comp keywords?

FYI - Some of the low comp kw articles are ranking top 100 with zero backlinking already. Homepage not ranking at all for it's KW related to the entire niche.

Good stuff! How old is your site?

20 days old today. First authority site, I usually target single micro niches but figured I'd put my time into something larger.

Nice! How many days ago did you pop into the top results?
What I'd do if I were you, would be to ensure my onsite SEO is proper (interlinking, H1, H2, H3, bolded first appearance of each keyword, etc).
Then start with some branding (perhaps 15-30 strong links)
And simultaneously do some diversity building w/generics.

There is no a perfect ratio, but for larger sites it is very important to get a large number of backlinks to internal pages. If your site is structured well, then the "seo sculpting" internally will help boost the homepage. You should make sure to utilize internal links back to the homepage or important high-level pages.

I would advise the following:
#target each page including homepage with some high authority Web 2.0 and get them indexed, these should be targeting URL and no keywords
#get some guest posts going for the homepage with target keywords then wait for some time
#now get good number of PBN links for each of your target pages and homepage with ratio of 20% to exact match 30% to brand and rest of it to URL and diverse anchors

This should be a 3 month effort and you should be up there by that time, if not then slowly increase the number of links in each category.

I appreciate the advice. Been popping in and out of Top 100 for past week or so; depends heavily on what KW. 80-100.

It's usually best to target your home page first, for a while and build your domains authority, which will trickle down to your other pages, and then after a month or two focus on your inner pages heavily. I believe it was @t0mmy talking about that in one of his guides some where.

Also with just on-page optimization you should be able to pull rank lower than 20 in low-comp keywords pretty easily - focus on interlinking quite a bit.

I just created a page 4 days, added some interlinking and optimized for my KW(really low comp, getting about 150 impressions a day) and its already ranking 3rd.
