So I was thinking... if a video ranks to 1st page, will the rank decrease if the content creator stops uploading videos?
Example: You rank on the keyword "egg"
And after a while you stop uploading and new videos coming up with "egg".
1. Will it derank?
2. The uploading of other videos on the channel doesn't matter
3. Something else?

It depends on so many variables mate.
YouTube always have the desire to show new videos you can watch this on any keyword.
If you don't have big competition the video will stay up there for long time but for hard competition video you always need keep it there by hard
work, it's part of the game on YouTube.

If it is a low competition niche it may still keep ranking sufficiently well. If it is a high competition niche where other channels are having active engagements and regular video uploads (publishing), then nowadays it would impact rankings, if incase a channel does not upload (publish) videos regularly.

Making new content helps people discover your old content, so it could effect the rankings.
If the video is still relevant and keeps getting views steadily then it will most likely stay on top.

If you don't keep up to date, you will drop from youtube ranking.According to Youtube's algorithm, this rule is like this.
