Twitter offers spammers a multitude of methods for disseminating their junk, all the while collecting e-mail addresses of unsuspecting twitterers.
One new and troubling technique allows spammers to amass member e-mail addresses almost instantaneously -- and it couldn't be easier. All a spammer has to do is perform a simple Twitter search for a phrase like "email me at." We tried it, and our search query returned a huge list of active addresses.

Yes, its true. You can get lots of emails with just searching "email me at"... just tried it a while ago. Problem is it's not targeted but who cares if you're spamming?:p

not targeted, but at least you know that they are live.

I quess these emails should be good for you if you are trying to build large following- you could just mail them and ask if they would like to follow u :)

any non jr-vip members signed up to my site can get access to my code on there

else wise the code at the zerotoseo blog listed above works just as well overall that blog is a great starting point to learn scraping... only difference between mine and that one is i added in some extra emails and extended the page results it scrapes from... still needs some work on it ie it needs to be ran hourly and probably get scraped emails dropped into a database

ive only just started getting into scraping the past few weeks for a new project of mine and really seeing how useful it is and really starting to kick myself as to why i havent been doing it sooner!
