Garyvee said linkedin is like Facebook in 2012...

Linkedin is said to be undervalued attention, but I can`t seem to get any likes or traction with my posts? I am asking this group for help.

What is your best strategy in growing influence on LinkedIn?

Garyvee keeps posting recently that the new trend and social media platform to keep an eye on is TikTok. I have mixed feelings about it and hesitating to explore it.
For LinkedIn what I have noticed is that you can get likes when you have 500+ connections. I am still trying to figure out whether timing and frequency of posts has any effect.

What kind of posts are you sending there?

I know this might require some work, but you have to organically engage with the posts from other people.

Comments are very powerful, comment something that’s has something to do with the post and maybe they will send you a friend request.

After you accepted the friend request, they will see your posts on their timeline and (if you are posting good content) they will maybe like it.

I see no relevancy at all between facebook and linkedin. As to me - Linkedin is good for developed country but not under development country and is totally focused on JOB sector.

Not necessarily, it can be used very good for gathering targeted quality leads, joint ventures and so on. But yes, it's more professionally-oriented then FB where is socially targeted

If you aren't familiar with this GaryVee reference, you may not be aware of the massive organic reach and brand growth potential via Facebook during 2012. Since then, Facebook has tightened organic post visibility which is why most have moved to paid social ads or a "pay to play" platform. LinkedIn has not tightened that noose yet and is a platform where you can still reach a large volume of people by posting great content.

I think that is the comparison, not the literal service offering of each platform.
