How in the heck do I keep finding 6 pages crappy spammy websites on page 1 of Google??

I thought that Matt Cutts set the Penguin/Panda in motion to stop all of this garbage?

And I also thought that unnatural link building was out? But then how come guys like Becker and the other 9,999
SEO guru hackers are doing the private blog network stuff that is basically allowing them to game the system and
rank for any keyword that they choose?

I feel like a huge explanation is needed.

I just had this experience while searching for a local TV SHOW in my country. I saw some CRAPY sites in the first page, but trust me ,they won't be around for long. It's just a matter of time before google bans them.

Sad but true, Google always finds those spammy sites and takes them out.

Try to use "para site" method. e.g: Youtube, Pinterest, Facebook. This is easy to rank with the black hat SEO.
 
i have a spam site in the movie/book/music niches. They have been up for years still generating me decent passive income monthly.
 
Pandas and Penguins are algorithmic penalties. The manual penalties are being applied from time to time during major algorithm updates. There's plenty of spam in top of serps and plenty of websites with fishy backlink profile. And that's the mark of good SEO.

banking hard is another thing ... but nothing can beat a nice authority site that stands still through all googlge updates.
 
Algorithms can always be gamed. You just gotta do a ton of trial and errors to get things right, then you can start banking.
 
Authority sites FTW, put in the extra bit of work to yield higher returns in the long run.
 
Just do the opposite of what MC says and you should be fine.
 
The same thing applies to other big traffic sources. You can game their system.

Whats the keyword? go to Google Webmaster forums and put the link there, I've had mixed progress with the forum, often seeing things changed.
