Gaming Streamers are making money xD

Last weekend I followed one of the YouTubers, the same guy has Twitch.

The game is unpopular, it has only 11,000 subscribers in my country. For comparison, the same game reaches 100,000 subscribers in English-speaking countries.

Out of curiosity, I asked him how much he earns from his YouTube and Twitch channels, where he has 1,050 subscribers paying $4.99 a month. He earns $16,000 a month from Twitch subscriptions and YouTube sponsorships.

Unpopular YouTuber, in a non-English-speaking country, poor subscription results on YouTube, average number of views on YouTube around 10,000 - 15,000 / video.

Still, he is making money on something that is non-obvious and inconspicuous.
As a normal observer, you would never expect a Youtuber with such stats to earn more than $100/month.

Dr disrespect I bet earn dam a lot . I see his pay subscribers stay quite long in his channel . This is why I said before those play game but dam pro usually will do streaming to earn if play whole day not pro just for fun is kinda waste time.
 
Even if you don't earn money - streaming could let you write off games as business expenses in many cases!
 
Maybe he just want to show off and he lied to you?
I have no idea but 16k with just 1k sub seem a lot

Youtube - 11k and 10k views / video

It's possible 1k * 4,99 usd on Twitch and the rest is from sponsor contracts on Youtube

I see those pro gamers on YouTube usually get invited by game companies for their events. I feel they mostly earn from sponsors. Some gamers got show case and do mention sponsors send the custom made controller for them to use during their usual live stream gaming.

Yes, it's from sponsors, for example some speakers for gamers
 
I'm willing to bet money that they inflated how much they earn by at least 3x.

Twitch takes 50% from that.

There's absolutely no way that 10-15k views/video YouTube channel fills in the last $13.5k, even if they did sponsorships daily on videos.
 
That's possible. I know many small streamers who have around ~500 live viewers, making thousands each month. If you have a loyal community supporting you each month, that's good enough.

Having 1,050 subscribers paying $4.99 a month is much more valuable than getting thousands of views, for example, especially if those views are from third world countries.

I heard about 20k subs channels in tech niches selling digital courses for $100k ;)

But about gaming channels, I don't have any fckin idea
 
Thanks bro, this is very helpful for me, I was planning on doing twitch for my live stream artwork and animations, and now I'm ever more motivated to iron out a process!

These are other kind of Youtubers, but check for example Dayz Youtubers, they are playing in 11 y old game whole time
... a lot of sponsors in these videos, real products, some games like War Thunder but I saw in one video survival kits products too

My 'main' 6-figure agency is based around influencers. I deal with dozens of influencers on a daily basis and I have the data of probably over a thousand influencers' social medias at this point.

I can guarantee you that gaming, especially in YouTube, is easily one of the worst niches to be in. Someone that gets 10-15k views/video even with daily uploads and sponsorships makes at an absolute maximum $3k. And that is a very generous estimate.
But honestly, I'd probably guess their earnings from YT to be more around $500-1k.

Well not surprising. Actually not just been Pro on those games they play also must knows how to interact with their viewers. Summary is not easy tasks but those already success to them is become a daily easy routine like waking up in the morning brushing your teeth like that.

How about FB Live seller? Some can make millions just keep promoting products on FB doing live selling and EPIC Those products are Cheap products from China yet they sell dam expensive. Yes is Drop shipping but they do it Live in person selling on FB.

$100k one time, these were tech guys doing some programming and released course for that. Few times you can make such thing, but it's not $100k/month.

About gaming niches, I just don't know. I always expected they are making some money for chocolate and game from sponsor xD

All along Gaming niches is good. There are a lot gamers out there. Especially the young ones and future gen will be. With smartphone and tablet now a days not just PC and console . I do saw one Gamer Youtuber he is more on tablet play game also got lots of subscriber and sponsor.

Yeah, you're not too far off.
There's not really a lot of money in niches where 90% are kids aged <18 and the rest are mostly unemployed adults.

Speaking from experience. I gave gaming influencers a try some years ago and quickly found that the viewers/followers don't really have a lot of buying power.
