AMD with 64 threads and intel with "only" 32. Well, AMD took more time to render and heat up way more, while intel was way cooler and faster. The AMD trend is all smoke since most software (and games) rely on Intel architecture. I agree with not buying only on Amazon, actually my components were bought from some place in Europe (the gpu is from germany for example). You can't really disagree about someone to hire. It's better to spend like $50 for someone to assemble a PC than breaking a $350+ component. The price I wrote include taxes (22%), because I bought everything from a store, so don't count that +22%

I guess we both right, its the story of when two people look at the number and one sees 6 others see 9 and they debate who is wrong who is right. I am in love with AMD, some people prefer the iPhone over Android and so on...
Regarding hiring someone to build for 50$ its wise idea if you are scared to break something but again from my own experience its 2020 and there is nothing hard to assemble PC.

If you are building PC only for gaming then go with Intel as single clock speed matter in gaming. But again it depends on the game. Some strategy games work better on multi-cores...

Regarding AMD overheating I agree here more cores = more heat. Just buy a proper cooler and play with clocking.

Regarding stability it depends on you cloaking setting and drivers. Maybe some components were not fully compatible, maybe your CPU was overheating.

Regharding Intel was way cooler and waaaay faster. If it was faster it wasn't waaaaay faster. Your human senses would not notice a difference in CPU speed. If only you are talking about lower end AMD and higher-end Intel.

I'd wait until Nvidia releases their new GPU series. So you could buy a new card or the current top cards cheaper.

- Ryzen 3 1200 + GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
- Pentium G5400 + GTX 1060 3GB

I recommend build you own pc find to pc builder web near me. they can order them online.

There are multiple builds online, a simple search should give you enough results. However, if you are on a budget go for an AMD build, if not prefer Intel build.

If you are more focused on gaming rather than video editing go for an Intel processor according to your budget as it provides higher clock speeds and so higher FPS for your games but if you are more focused on video editing rather than gaming definitely go for Ryzen processors. They have more cores and you can multitask simultaneously with them without making your PC slower at the same time. Also Ryzen can be used for gaming though you won't get super high FPS like intel but the difference between the FPS will not be more than 30-50 FPS that you won't even notice if it's above 120.

Also Ryzen is stable if you pick the parts according to AMD processor so don't worry about stability. It's as good as any other processor.
TBH, just buy the parts from a cheaper and reliable source in your country, amazon is NOT the cheapest. Hire some guy to assemble it for you and you are done, if it is your first time I'd not recommend you doing it yourself. Save the headache!
