Gaming - Atomfall

I'm an old man and have been a big Fallout fan since the first.

I've seen Atomfall is releasing today and looks a lot like Fallout in the UK. Hope it's going to be good. Reviews seem mixed

Any game recommendations? I like everything, but especially indie games and on the look out for something fun/interesting.

As well as a ps1/2/3/4/5

Currently plating Kingdom Come 2. Atomfall is on my radar
as a cheap £40 games its worth a look

Hogwarts Legacy - Metro 2/3/4 - Farcry 5/6/new dawn
Final fantasy worlds. / Final fantasy strangers paradise .
Final fantasy 7/8/9/x/x2/12/ 7 remake and 14 /
Arcania - risen 3 / Lords of the fallen, Soma, sinking city, amnesia ,
outlast 1/2. those who remain. dreamfall chapters.

ps5 games.
Final fantasy 16 / 7 rebirth / Final fantasy Crisis core
Anno 1800 / Demon souls / port royal /

That's a really impressive list, thank you. I've actually done pretty much all of those, too, though I've never managed to get in to the FF stuff. just doesn't click.

I sold my PS5, games were too expensive and as they're coming to PC these days didn't see the point in keeping it.

My rig is AMD 5950 with 4090 (My 3090 went pop ) so thankfully able to play most things, too. Appreciate this, thank you again.

your 5950 to a 7800x3d for better performance

5950 was with the 3090 and I was practically given the 4090 otherwise I'd never have got it. I will likely upgrade with the 6xxx series GPUs and do the CPU then. Hearing good things about the 9000 chips, jealous

9800x3d and 9950x3d have the same gaming performance
the 9950x3d is more aimed at work loads ....bare that in mind.

9800x3s is also 120 w --- 9950x3d is 170 w

If you’re into Fallout, you might enjoy SCUM or The Isle for survival elements. Arma Reforger could scratch that tactical itch, Any particular genre you’re looking for?

Honestly, I like pretty much anything if its made well. I rinsed Atomfall on Friday as I had the day off but it was mediocre. Then went in to Drova and Vladik Brutal.
I prefer SP tbh, less stress, and I suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked at Arma
I have about 300 games in my backlog, I work on those whilst waiting for sales anyway, but always nice to get recs and keep up to date.
