Game App marketing with youtube

Is it good startegy, to make a trailer or a gameplay video for your app (for this to workout, you really have to make very good app not crappy flapy bird style)
Than buy views or use AMF and get big amount of views
than go to the big players blogs and press (tryting contact them via e-mail facebook anything) and try to get them attention, to be notice at techcrunch, mashable and etc.... is really good hype
is it realistic?

or they prefer the money for PR
