anyone here work in the gambling niche and see any drastic movements with the update? Do you think the schema FAQ markup being over used and similar on lots of pages has anything to do with it?

I wouldn't say overrated if they affect the number of visitors to your site
 
Everything is affected temporarily. When will you people learn?
 
Surely everyone is learning something everyday......if your not learning your stagnant
 
I’ll be interested in following up on this after a few weeks/months. Probably a lot of Google dance still going on right now.
 
Can't believe there are no gambling affiliates here with a view, or maybe i am being too quick to jump the gun and will get more feedback in a few weeks
 
Not looking good at all at the moment. I'm assuming it will climb back up.
 
Working in gambling too. Many theories so far, and I’m now convinced it has to do with schema FAQ (as long it’s useful). More people are talking about EAT, something in which gambling sector is poor. Let’s see in some days..
 
Yeah one of my clients website lost all the rankings. He was from gambling niche only and I dont have any idea why this all happened.
 
What vertical and geo was the site in?
 
this google pandemic crush down my casino keywords I have more than 80kw at first pages now only 2 kw still exist and lost about 90% featured snippet too
 
anyone in the gambling and igaming niche seeing any recovery yet?
 
Some of my clients saw some positive as well as negative changes. It depends on the content length they have on their sites, also proper internal linking.
 
We got his 2 times from the Google updates. Once in December when we went from 9000kw on our Indian casino site down to 1400kw....and now again, we got his on ALL our sites and are just loosing traffic and KW each day!!
 
The update has rolled out and we haven't seen a recovery of any sort on a few of our sites. This update sucks
