Galaxy S2 or iPhone 4S?

Think of it that way: Apple created the iPhone and samsung made a copy of it that it called galaxy.
And about the OS, Google's android has more free apps but is not as stable as iOS. On the other side iOS has more great apps but a lot of them are not free and it has a lot of limitations - though both of these downsides are fixed with a jailbreak.
Bottom line is forget about the copied stuffs, go for an iPhone !
(Anyway, I have a feeling that this thread won't help you because you'll have as many votes for both

Well, I bought Galaxy S2 in January and I am happy with my choice.
At first, I didn't like Samsung's touchwiz interface + Gingerbread so I rooted my phone and downloaded some custom ICS roms and kernels, and you know what, it's so damn better now, either the performance and battery life has improved dramatically!
The only thing that I miss is an HD screen so if I was you I would go with the S3.

I got both of them and in my opinion Samsung S2 is the best... why:
- I don't like the 4S low battery life, it's about 24h for low usage, 10 hours or less if I use it to call, check mail/apps (i've received 3 new iphone 4S from apple over a period of 4 months and still have the same issue, so it just sucks!)
- iOS interface looks old, they haven't updated the designs over 4 year!
- Screen is smaller, even if the resolution is higher I prefer a larger screen
- No easy file access unless you jailbreak!

just stick with s3 or buy NOTE , its just your feeling that it looks BIG and hard to manage , But when you will own it you will not feel it much big or hard to carry it , even if u buy NOTE you will not love any other mobile coz NOTE is decent , iphone is nothing against that phone till they launch big screen model , S3 or NOTE is my opinion .

Samsung Galaxy!!!
Think like that. If you are going to use your phone at different computers. Or if you like a music at your friends computer and want to send it to your phone. Or you will use bluetooth to send files. Or I dont know you want something is not overpriced buy S2 or I dont know HTC One X or Sensation XL.
iOs is so limited. You cant send files, connect to any pc, transfer as I know you cant even change your ringtone! That sucks bro!

i can do all that on my 4s
Its just need a learning curve for advanced users.
Remember you can run ssh on any computer (putty) and connect to your cellphone edit and transfer files.
i've been using iphone since iphone 3g so i know what im talking about.

I've NOTE and trust me it's not that big to handle as it looks. It's manageable and the big screen is actually the plus point for me. I love using it and would recommend it any day over S2 or Iphone 4s.
