I have been trying a bit with adsense but almost no clicks at all. Gonna try a bit with CPA offers instead. Anyone have an idea what converts best for a "random news crowd"? What is this best way to monitize this?

I use this technique from few months and let me tell you its great.
also help yourself with something apart from google trends like yahoo buzz,ebay pulse etc.they too work great.
 
I saw a top keyword on Google Trends two days ago so I registered the .COM domain of that keyword. I then hosted the domain with blogspot and submitted it to search engines but unfortunately it's not indexed by Google yet. :(

i was thinking suppose a blog is about dating....would'nt it be useless to post these hot trend topics there? and you can get traffic but they won't be comming back? i think this will
only work for news blogs and gossiping blogs and thats about it....what do you guys think?
 
lol @ yday on Gewgirl Trends... 99/100 of the top searches where for the blink 182 plane crash, lmao! I ended up getting 2k visitors for tagging all the tags there, and using WP Auto Tagger!

I've heard a lot about this, but how does it compare to keyword elite? If you have that program, then it's kind of a moot point isn't it?

As a support I just discovered a new google tool and its really cool. Its called google insight and you can get it by searching for the keyword in google.

Just tried this a few minutes ago and will report when I see what type of extra hits I get in a day or two. Also, I've got a big ping list, is that enough (or are you guys then blasting links to your post)?

This is really a great idea ..

i am using this form months on my blog where I post trends of india and I get traffic from India.

In india its easy to get highg CTR
 
One thing I would like to add-- while this method does work-- If you have PR-Less website you will not experience the full benefits of this method. I'm not even sure it works for websites without PR but I know for sure it works for those that do.
 
i have PR=0 website, and this method doesn't work on my blog
 
This is one of the best tips I have ever found! Just tried it, took me 10 minutes and in 20 minutes I have had 150 new visitors to my blog for a single keyword. Thanks!
