Same here, and same results.... BUT I will NOT give up yet!! As I read, and re-read the posts here I start to see some of the "subtleties" that I may have missed. I will stay with this method until I see results.

I'm a decent writer, but not a ton of experience with blogging in this manner. I hate to admit it, but my first run I wasn't using a ping list!! Idiot! So lesson learned, if there is something mentioned that I don't understand, I need to learn about that before moving on.

I do have a question for anyone really.... Pofecker mentioned that there were "similar search terms" or something like that listed at "Go0gel Triends" and that you should use those as tags. I don't see that. Has the trends page changed since the OP?

I posted a couple G trend topics tonight, and got some traffic in on them. But I'm watching the logs and mostly everything is from social bookmarking (ie reddit), and not so much google organic. I rank on the first page for a few targeted keywords on this site, but its PR0, and I'm just not ranking anywhere near where I would want to be for this to be lucrative. Maybe when G blesses me with some PR.... My on page SEO is good, using tags as related searches to the trend, so on and so forth.

Until then I'm unsure how you guys are ranking decent with PR0 blogs using this method. Are you sure its organic?

I thought it was so obvious! I began doing affiliate marketing several months ago and figured out Google Trends method immediately... I even downloaded iphone app for Trends so I wouldn't miss something. I mix autoblogged news with re-written articles, plus add my videos or video news from other websites. I didn't do it seriously yet, just 2-3 news a day, yet there is some money in this method, especially if you don't mind re-writing.

How many blogs? Also, how much is "some money"?

Sounds good i am gone to try it on blogger platform.
Let's see can i make money from it or it will be another failure trick for me??
