They will only keep track of things that makes them money or lose them money.
I usually sign up for the same tier 1 sites with only one ip address and the money site still ranks.
Although I do not use chrome browser.

If you haven't seen any captcha by google then you are pretty much safe. Are you using any automated program?

I've seen Captchas after switching proxies, I thought that was just to protect my GMail account?

there are millions of users like you.. SEs trying to help them out, so they tracks few things ..as usual :/
But, if you didn't give them that permission than they will not think about you, they have no rights to track people without permission and they wont do that.

Whatever you are doing ..do it with confident.
and keep moving with a more secure way

Google has access to a ton of information. As long as you are doing what you're supposed to be doing (nothing illegal) you shouldn't have nothing to worry about.

ip tracking is only an issue for Adsense and Adwords activities. Then yes, they want to know who you are. That you aren't making multiple accounts, etc. Otherwise why would they want all that data? How would they sort through it. They're not tracking your every move ................ or are they? :)

If you interact with Google they probably do.

Use Google search to scrape for sites
Use sites with recaptcha (which is Googles own Anti Spam which many other sites use under license Pligg is a classic example)
    Use Gmail for spamming purposes
Have Google webmaster installed on your site
    Use Chrome (Google's browser)

    ..... You get the idea

If you do these things then you are using Google under their terms and conditions. You probably agreed to them without even knowing it.
Ok that's one side of the coin.

    HERE'S THE OTHER

Google have no right what-so-ever to "snoop" on anything else at all that you do . They are not the "internet police". If you search using another search engine, go to a site - for whatever you want...then Google have no right to trace you, track you, monitor or rank you. If they did they would be in breach of many anti-trust laws.
Google are not an "official" internet peace keeper or anything of the sort. They are just a company with a website that lists other websites. They have no more right to snoop on people browsing the internet than you do.

People who seem quite internet savvy have this idea that Google "are the internet" or at least some sort of official "internet police" that only through them does the internet exist and that they have some special powers.

    They aren't, it doesn't and they don't.

Google is a private directory site and can do no more or less than you could if you started your own directory listing UNLESS you are using their own branded products and have ticked the box agreeing to their terms and conditions. Again - you could do exactly the same if you wanted. Google would just likely be a hell of a lot bigger.

Combined with their Internet Association cartel members, Google is definitely trying to shape internet policy to fill their wallets by monetizing the content of each webmaster. Thus far they have been successful.

Google has been sued many times for keeping ALL data that it has ever obtained since it's created. Yes, google keeps every record of everything that you have done via your IP, email address, search characteristics...etc. For example, let's say you log into your gmail account and do searches or whatever for a month. Then you move locations and don't log into your gmail account. Google's system will then piece your usage characteristics together to make assumptions as who you are. (they say its to give a better user experience - I say they are more blackhat then any of us here.)
