Hi Blackhatter,

I'm not new to this resourceful forum, has been follow the replication of techchuck quite awhile and it really flood with great stuff!

I remember i ever read somewhere in this forum about not to use G analytic with autoblog. Can't recall what is the reason and i just couldn't find it with the search.

Is any of you using G analytic to monitor your blog activities? If not, may i know what is the reason not using it? Would you recommend other monitoring software?

As i just started, of coz free is good. :)

Thank you.

if you are using analytics on one or two blogs then it is ok.
but if you plan to go big then using the same analytics and adsense accounts will create a footprint and if one of your autoblogs get caught then your entire lot will be sandboxed.
hence it is not a good idea.

so do you have any recommendation if i want to go big, say in future?

I'm using stat counter. Not as good as GA, but it's enough to analyze autoblogs traffics.

Google doesn't like having adsense on auto-generated content sites and WILL penalize you should they find out if not at all take your adsense away.
i say, use other tracking options rather than let big Gknow everything about you.

If i did not insert adsense in the autoblog, will G penalize my ranking in serp?

I'm just so used to GA and at the moment would like to focus on autoblog stuff. Nonetheless, if to learn something new is the only choice... then i have to allocate a bit of time on that.

I'm using Awstats for tracking, much more detailed than analytics.

Good question and I'm interested in what people have to say. As I expand my online properties, it's inevitable that some of my sites start to turn to shades of "gray". It makes me wonder what to do because I LOVE web analytics and have gained so much valuable insight into site visitors because of it. I would like a free alternative to Google Analytics though because I don't want them to know everything about my business. For awstats, you can only get that through your hosting company, correct? Has anyone tried using piwik.org which is open source and seems promising to me? I'll probably give it a try but if anyone has opinions or other suggestions I'd like to hear them.
