G--gle Dance?

Got a question on G--gle dancing... Ok, say you have an EMD site that really only has a pretty high quality backlink profile that is really not messed with to much at all. Now, say you have been #3or4 in the serps for months. Now say a site like H Post or TMZ gives you like 10-20 links to you... Now all of a sudden you are on page 5 of the serps not page 1 #2or3 anymore... what the hell????

I would think that g--gle dance would dance you from #3 to #1 not go back 5 pages. lol

What is your opinion?

Are you bouncing back and forth or did you just drop to the 5th page and just stay there?

We got the links yesterday and today actually I just went to page 10 and still did not see us. Our internal pages are still in about the same position... It is just like our main page is gonzo all of a sudden. So basically we had a real authority site (no bs) link to us like this: mysite(dot)com and they linked to us anchor text of "my site". It is the weirdest thing... We have checked and it is still indexed via site:domain and checked our GWT and all is super clean in there as well.

24hours... Google barely indexed the links.

I think it's due to something else and not due to the links.

Not true, if they're really good links (I'm assuming they are because of what the OP is saying) they could be indexed within hours, or even sooner.

However, 24hrs isn't really that much of a worry yet, give it a few days and see what happens. It might not necessarily be a penalty yet.

I could be interpreting what you said wrong, but by what you're implying, I'm just saying that it's not true that it takes days to index links. Really high quality links could be indexed much sooner.

Well if you have maximum high quality backlinks than there is very low situation of Google dance effects.

UPDATE - It has come back in a bit stronger position now for my main emd keyword... the weird thing is that my internal pages had no change when my main page went away for a couple days... but now my main page is back a bit stronger and internal pages are moving up as well even though I have not done anything on those at all. G--gle makes me constantly go huh/ wtf/I don't get it? LOL

It's due to internal linking... Links from your main page supply more link juice to your inner pages, thus they become stronger and as such rank better
