Hopefully, this will save someone the trouble of signing up for a service that does not do the job.
Used to use Twilio back in the day for offline stuff and I put in a few bucks into my old account to see if I can use it to verify a few IG accounts that got hit wit a PV recently - the messages never came.
Talked to customer service - Twilio intentionally blocks verification messages of all kinds.
So, IG does accept the numbers and does send out messages, but Twilio blocks them and you'll never receive them. Not only for IG, for any major social media service.
Just FYI.
