I'm sure many already know this, but I will just announce it as a PSA to those who didn't know this. This is based on 3 recent confirmed tests on 2 separate domains. For various reasons I would backdate a blog post upon publishing it. And only in the last 3 months did I notice that if you backdate a blog post upon publishing it for the first time, it will likely prevent indexation. So for example if you publish a blog post today on Dec 28, 2021, do not set the publish date for any other prior date. Publish on the natural date on Dec 28, and only once it is indexed can you then backdate it.

This is based on my experience, curious if others have had the same or different experience.

edit: I was not backdating many years, in one case i only backdated it 1 week and it seems that it prevented indexation.

I didn't knew that, it'll help a lot for my new website!
