which is better in your opinion?

these 2 investments are vaguely similar but distinctly different. and each has
their pros and cons.

which do you all think is the better way these days?

which is:

more riskier
better profits
more likely to profit from
easier to do

there is no real right or wrong answer, only different opinions.

Futures are clearly riskier as you expose yourself to unlimited loss (theoretically at least).

Profit potential depends on whether you're a good trader or not - people have made hundreds of millions in both futures and FOREX.

I haven't traded either so I can't comment on which is easier to do, but certainly FOREX is easier to understand as there are only 5 main currency pairs, as opposed to the many different futures contracts.

In my opinion, If your not 100% home and dedicated with the investment world, stay away from them both.

And I have pretty of proof to state that. I started trading stocks at the age of 16.
At 18 I hade my own column in the Estonian biggest business newspaper in the "investments" section.
You can read the leading story here:

Unfortunately its in Estonian.

unfortunately i cant read a lick of that article..

it looks like someone just rolled their head around on the keyboard LOL

Estonian does look little bit strange huh :)

I added the link so you would know Im not telling this out of thin air. Ive had plenty of experience tradings stocks, options and futures- total of 4 years, 2 of them trading as a fulltime daytrader.

Ive never touched forex, but in my eyes, its similar to roulette. Inorder to succesfully trade forex you should have a portfolio of atleast 50 000$. Otherwise the leverage will eat you up.

You'd be better off stearing clear of both, unless you're experienced or have resevoirs of cash to burn, as there's far too much volatility in futures and forex imo.

Trading the major indexes and stocks is at least slightly safer. If i had to pick one though i'd go for forex as, coming from a technical back ground, i'd imagine there's less to worry about on the fundamentals front.

i dabbled in futures about 10 years ago or so, but see a lot of people are preferring forex these days.

in a side by side comparison, which do you guys think is better all-around. i know they each have their pros and cons.
