If you mean by crypto blockchain technology, crypto will always be here.
That's a fact.
Blockchain is a technology that enables people to enjoy distributed computing in a transparent way.
There's a tremendous amount of uses for that kind of technology backbone.
But if you're talking about cryptocurrencies, the future has many different paths.
The first obvious path is that, unless quantum computing debuts soon, Bitcoin will continue to reign supreme and will continue to increase in value as fiat currencies face fiscal catastrophes due to overprinting.
If you're mad about inflation, you can blame central banks for overprinting money.
That's the bottom line.
This is also the reason why Bitcoin is so valuable because there are only so many bitcoins in existence and it has a cap of 21 million units to the amount of bitcoin that will ever exist.
Unless quantum computing destroys the proof of work verification system that the whole Bitcoin network requires to operate, Bitcoin will still be in business.
The other aspect of your question involves alternative coins or altcoins.
These too will still remain in business and will go up and down in value in the future because there are tons of undiscovered uses for blockchain technology, and they will require a self-funding mechanism.
This is where altcoins come in.
I don't necessarily see crypto going away anytime soon.
But when it comes to trends like meme coins, I see them coming and going just like NFTs were very big during the last boom cycle.
Meme coins are now blowing up because where else can you start with 30 bucks and end up with hundreds of thousands of dollars if you're a developer?
But eventually, the party too will crash and burn.
