So I am running a Facebook page where I sell funny tshirts. The shirts are cover a broad group. Who are the people I should target to sell funny shirts too?

Target people under the age of 30, high social class, educated etc

The golden age of selling a ton of 'funny' shirts is way over. You will have a hard time selling this to the broad audience because now you have to be way more specific.

This is why the 'product approach' doesn't work as well as the market approach first.

I hear ya about that time being over. I guess these are specific. They’re all pretty much tiger king or politics related. For the tiger king stuff I’m really struggling as to who to market to.

If you know how - you could target people who like certain Facebook pages related to the topics, i.e. Tiger King or Politics

I doubt you'd make any significant sales with just "funny" shirt. The competition is so fierce that it just wont cut it. I'd reccomend you to pair it up with ongoing trends/hot topics, like COVID-19.

But I dont think Facebook or Google ads will approve your campaign If you made a Covid-19 related funny shirt. Better pay shootouts to meme pages.

That why I was trying to get on the tiger king train. But none of the pages are big enough to target and you can’t target geoups

If you can't target any related interest, you have to go broad. Since EVERYONE heard about this show, why don't you try with Netflix or popular reality shows?

You could try layering several interests such as: Netflix + Tiger (or other big cats). A lot of people have seen the show and at least everybody heard about it. Most people who like animals and watch Netflix must have watched it
